We always make New Year's Eve an appetizer night, it used to be the frozen boxes but now it will be a feast of homemade treats. Okay Tell me what you are planning and I will tell you what I am planning (although I have to get through two family Christmas parties of appetizers first) and we can share the recipes *before* we make them. That way we can try them and compare results.

I wish you could have been here too Lyndsey!

We only had access to one type of Spanish beer but we had a few Spanish wines and sherry's. It was a lot of fun and I got to cook all night, and still talk to everyone. Best of both!

Thanks Steve,
The next night I did jalapeno chilies and Thai red chilies as well - Wow!!!

Yes there were quite a few items I did not get to. But next time.
There are just so many Tapas ideas but they all take time. Next time I will be better prepared so that all the food can come out.

Don't know what the theme will be for January but I am sure the people will be wonderful, as usual.

Oh how fun! I have been thinking about making little bites like this for New Year's Eve. We always have a fondue party, but I'm feeling like I want to make some other things this year.

Hi Molly,
Yes, we like it too. We decided for our two family Christmas get-togethers, we will do the appetizer idea as well. Instead of a sit down meal with 20 people, we could just have lots and lots of food set out that can be nibbled on. I will make a rice dish and a potato dish as well and some seafood and meat and veggies but everything will sort of be like the Tapas, just not Spanish unless we want it to be. For Belle's Family we will do an Asian theme and for my family it will be catch as catch can (anything goes) but since they are not as adventurous, I will make some very traditional dishes as well.

Sounds like a wonderful night, I wish I could of made it to your party! :) I love Tapas! I can't wait for the recipes. I think it's such a good way to go for a gathering. The beer and wine tasting sounds fun too!
