- To try: Vegetarian Jamaican Patties! I love the beef ones, and these sound like a great vegetarian alternative.
- To try: Shrimp in Ginger Butter sauce. French meets Asian, and shrimp is such a big hit around here always.
- Resource: A Visual Guide to Apples - perfect timing. One of Ward’s students gave him a huge bag of freshly-picked apples on the weekend. Huge variety. Now we can figure out what is what!
- To try: Pulled pork nachos. These sound so good. When it comes to pulled pork, the sauce makes all the difference. I don’t like anything too tangy myself.
- Interesting read: Chile peppers: the science behind the spice. Ward likes his chile peppers. Me? Not so much. But in moderation, it’s nice and a great flavor enhancer.
